What makes 12-step recovery programs effective? JoAnn Campbell, from the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation, will explain how those with no experience of the 12 Steps will gain an overview of a highly successful secular movement toward transformation. Those familiar with this spiritual path will come to understand how the actions taken in these steps nourish the individual’s spirit as they simultaneously help dissolve the person’s ego to sustain lifelong recovery.
